Shop Prize

Shop Prize is another app used by scanning receipts, but the catch is it can only be for food and drinks. So if you buy a drink at a gas station or stop for a quick bite at McDonald's, you can earn from those receipts. You'll earn 100 coins per receipt. You can also take a picture of items purchased for 20 coins. On top of that, you'll earn a varying amount of coins just for checking into the app daily.

There's also a fun game aspect to it where you receive bonus coins every time you "level up" or reach a higher level for non-gamers. The higher your level, you'll have a higher XP for earning bonuses when scanning receipts, checking in, etc.

Once you have 5,000 coins you're eligible to cash out with the rewards, but the list of rewards isn't available until you meet that requirement. You can also use your coins to enter sweepstakes for some cool prizes. It gives you information about the prize, how much it costs to enter, when it ends and how many people are in the sweepstakes. Generally 1 ticket is around 100 coins.

Receipt Pal

Receipt Pal is very similar to Receipt Hog in the sense that you snap pictures of receipts for points. However, Receipt Pal isn't quite as restrictive. They accept receipts from anywhere including fast food restaurants. You can also submit receipts that are 30 days old. You can't submit receipts from July in August. The exception is they'll give you the first couple days of a new month to submit receipts from the previous month.

Unlike Receipt Pal, you are limited to how many receipts you can submit in a specific time frame. Receipt Pal gives you 3-4 new cards every week and each card will hold 4 receipts. Each card is worth 100 points so once you've filled a card, you'll be awarded those points.

There are a range of points needed to redeem gift cards. For example, once you reach 2,000 points you can redeem a $5 Amazon gift card. Alternatively if you're more patient you can wait to reach 7500 points for $25. Other gift card options are offered such as Restaurant.com

Receipt Hog

Receipt Hog is an app where you are paid to scan receipts. You must scan a receipt within 14 days. Most receipts are accepted with the exception of food, drink, veterinary bills, utility bills, etc. Funds are redeemed via Amazon gift cards or PayPal with the minimum being $5 which is 1,000 coins.

There is a points system that is determined by the dollar amount on your receipt which ranges from 5 to 20 coins. Under $10 is 5 coins,

Your progress is tracked each week by a meter that tells how many coins you earned. You can earn coins from receipts at face value for up to 100 coins per week. Once you've reached 100 coins, all receipts are worth 5 coins regardless of the value. You can also only snap 20 receipts in a 7 day period.

Ibotta

Ibotta is probably the best app in it's category when comparing to Checkout 51, Shopmium, etc. 

Ibotta has the most rebates available with dozens of retailers. Ibotta recommends browsing their rebates prior to a shopping trip since the whole point of Ibotta is to discover new brands. However, I simply buy what is on sale or at a good price. I'll check Ibotta after a shopping trip to see if there are any rebates I can claim. Once you've earned $20 you can cash out for an Amazon gift card; $25 for PayPal.

If you connect your Facebook you can participate in challenges with other people that become your team mates. You get bonuses if you redeem so many rebates for that month or earn a certain amount in rebates.
